Bora Parc, the newest feature attraction at Village Vacances Val-Cartier (the largest winter amusement park in North America) is a $65 million dollar, 102,000 square foot indoor water park that just opened in December 2016.  Covering an area equivalent to six NHL hockey rinks it takes indoor water fun to a new level.

A consideration that the thousands of daily visitors likely never contemplate but was forefront in the minds of engineers was corrosion.  The air and water temperature are both maintained at a Bora Bora like 87 degrees resulting not only in very high humidity levels but also all of that water splashing everywhere is treated with corrosive antibacterial additives.  As an additional challenge any corrosion solution would also have to reflect that this was a public amusement park so aesthetic considerations were equally paramount.
