QUEBEC CITY COLISEUM FENCE

The construction of the $400 million New Quebec City Coliseum has been at the epicenter of Quebec politics for several years.  The huge stadium while a multi-use facility is the cornerstone of a strategy to return an NHL professional hockey team to Quebec City.  The debate over the source of funding and political intrigues have filled many front pages of Quebec newspapers.

A major consideration by the decision makers was the successful widespread use of galvanizing in the other surrounding public venues such as the fairgrounds building and the main exposition hall which all share the same site as the new stadium.

While the tonnage is small this project is situated in an intensely busy area with year round visibility and the high degree of scrutiny by several levels of government will highlight the competitive advantages of hot-dip galvanizing to important decision makers.
