If you are a hockey fan in Montreal (and who isnt in this city) there is only one place to aspire to live; the brand new Tour des Canadiens.  This condo tower is built directly adjacent to the Bell Centre, home of the famous Montreal Canadiens.  The two story crown of this 52 floor, quarter billion dollar condo tower are consecrated to displaying the logo of one of most successful sports franchises in the world with 24 championships in its over 100 year history.

This made time of the essence in two ways: First speed of construction was critical with all units sold and residents clamoring to move in so the high dependability of the galvanizer with any of its three local modern, expertly staffed and very high capacity plants available insured delay-free and incident- free turnaround.  Secondly of course was the proven very long service life of hot-dip galvanizing which is perhaps even more critical in a condo situation where individuals must bear the brunt of any maintenance costs or value loss directly with after tax income in the form of increased condo fees.

The farsighted developers used the high brand value of the Montreal Canadiens to market and name this impressive building knowing that unhappy owners and/or unsightly corrosion stains from exposed to the elements steel could obviously damage their much storied brand.  As so often is the case, hot-dip galvanizing provided them with a low cost but high value solution to a potential corrosion problem.
