Corbec was honored to present at the recent Ontario Structural Steel Fabricators Association (OSSFA) AGM, thanks to an invitation from Gord Rados, OSSFA’s Executive Director. Hellen Christodoulou presented Corbec’s newly published CSA approve, Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), now available.

On November 12 – 13, 2024, Sustainability, EPDs, and carbon were key topics of interest at the recent Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) Conference.

Corbec was a proud sponsor of the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE) 2024 Engineering Conference - ENGCON on October 29th in Windsor, Ontario, bringing together engineers, industry leaders, government officials, and academic partners for a day of collaboration and knowledge-sharing.

Corbec supports the The Buried Meta Bridges Symposium which shares design, construction and asset management knowledge of buried metal bridges and structures through expert presentations, technical papers and case studies.

The presentation outlined the important considerations when specifying galvanizing for corrosion protection. By having a comprehensive understanding of these key aspects, specifying galvanizing for corrosion protection can be more effectively accomplished, leading to optimal performance and cost-effective solutions.

This year’s conference, Canada’s largest national transportation event, welcomed over 1,700 industry professionals to explore the future of transportation and infrastructure.

Corbec actively participates in industry events like these to stay current, build valuable networks, and share information.

The Centre Petite Échelle provides awakening and learning retention services for children with intellectual and physical developmental delays, and with or without diagnosis (such as autism, intellectual disability, cerebral palsy).

This years CWB Group Canweld conference is well-attended and well organized.

It was an excellent opportunity to have discussions with Architects about the advantages of galvanizing.

It was an opportunity to have very informative discussions and exchange with members about the advantages, the durability, and the versatility of using galvanized rebars. Galvanization provides the ultimate sustainable and low carbon foot print solution at a fraction of the cost!

A wonderful event was organized to celebrate their history, achievements, and future successes. On behalf of Corbec, a plaque was presented to commemorate their 75th anniversary. We are proud to count ourselves among your partners.

The relevance and quality of the sessions were very impressive. The program was designed to give participants plenty of opportunity for exchange, reflection, and networking.

The Corbec team extended a warm “Thank You” to all the steel Fabricators, participants from the Ontario Ministry of Transportation and Consultants from various Engineering Firms for attending the 1st technical tour of Corbec’s state-of-the-art Galvanizing Facility in Hamilton. It was a successful tour and a networking cocktail that followed.

The Corbec team attended the very productive OSSFA, AGM. It was an opportunity for informative exchange with Fabricator members and the pursuit of collaborative initiatives. Corbec, as supplier member, was pleased to support and be one of the sponsors of this event, as they have done with other events that support and strengthen the industry.

The committee is a centre of expertise within TAC and a national forum for information exchange and problem solving related to transportation structures including bridges, overpasses, tunnels, buried structural culverts, overhead sign structures, and retaining walls.
